Cheekwood Golf Club
About
Situated in the heart of Franklin, the Cheekwood Golf Club (formerly known as Fairways on Spencer Creek) is conveniently located only 20 minutes south of Nashville. This popular layout has been ranked as one of the top 10 nine-hole golf courses in Tennessee. Despite being a shorter course, the layout still offers several holes with water hazards and sand bunkers. The tight fairways and rolling terrain also require a fair amount of accuracy. The course has enough challenges as well as enough variety throughout the holes to make it a fun round for more skilled players, which also makes it a great place for beginners to get some practice. Being that the round is usually quick, the golf course is a popular choice for golfers looking to get in a quick round after work.

Early season grass
This 9 hole course has some nice potential, but early spring conditions make the tee box and several greens difficult to play. I’m excited about the course’s future as more holes will be added to make it a 18 hole course.
Sure glad this little gem is open year around!
My grandson and I found out about this little gem just this week. He needed to get a round in for a golf class he is taking and most everything around was closed. This course was recommended from a friend. The day was cold and drizzly but my grandson had a blast. His first time on a course when he could hit his driver. This is one of those times when memories were created for a life time. We will be back!
cheekwood
Nice course... always fun when you make your first eagle then and double and triple bogey after. a little confusion on the mobile check in piece with the starter and he sent out a 4 some in front of 4 2 somes so pace was slow... but still a good time!
This course is fun to play. Although not extremely difficult or long, there are unique challenges on each hole. All of the staff are genuinely friendly people, as are other players on the course. I’d recommend to anyone putting Cheekwood on your list of favorite places to play.
Fun course
Always good for a quick 9 or 18. On the shorter/easier side but still fun. I play here frequently do to its convenience
Great Executive Course with great people
Love this Exec Course! The staff here really makes the experience, hence the five star review.
Always friendly and well staffed.
Fun location to play a quick nine.
One of our favorite local courses :-)
O.K. / Could be much better
The hot deal to play here always gets me and then after 9 holes I regret it, simply because after 9 holes you end up running into a lot more people and the pace of play slows tremendously. There seems to be no management whatsoever on the course. Yesterday when I played the pace for the first 9 was as should be, when I made the turn all of a sudden there were two 5-somes in front of me and I bailed. This means I paid for 18 but only paid 9 as I just couldn’t bear the wait. There seems to be no management whatsoever on the course. The conditions of the course were actually o.k. Given the flooding a few weeks ago. The cart paths however are like off roading (the carts need 4 wheel drive!). This course could be so much better with a little TLC. The value of what you get for the money is just not there unless the HOT DEAL is crazy good.
Poorly managed and overpriced...
Poorly managed and, and a overpriced course for nine holes.
I have played this course a few times, at different times of the year. It is conveniently located and not the worst course in the world, but…
It is over priced, and is not consistently maintained, as the greens seem to always have some issue on a few of them, and there are only nine holes., so...
The greens are usually not ready for play for the earlier teetimes, whether it is leaves and debris, or morning dew.
And when you’re only playing nine holes for $25-$30 for nine holes, depending on whether you book direct or through Golfnow, you usually walk away unsatisfied from the experience.
Great Course
Had a great time on a great course. Narrow fairways allowed me to work on my golf game. Staff was very friendly. I rented lefty golf clubs and they were excellent.
Too many par 3
For the price of 54 dollars for 18 holes (playing 9 holes twice) I was expecting a solid course, but there were 4 par 3 that were all 110 yards long and 5 shorter par 4.
